Meet the team

With long-standing team members who have been with us since we first opened, to newer team members who have just begun their careers in the industry – every single one of us share a passion for helping people feel good.

Each member of Team Zest has their own personality and traits, as well as specialties when it comes to classes and training – which we believe makes for the perfectly balanced Club Zest family tree. Check out our pictures below as our team introduce themselves!

I’ve worked at Club Zest from the tender age of 16! I first started as a Saturday girl helping out around the gym and on Reception. This inspired me to pursue a career as a fitness instructor, gradually working my way up to Club Zest Manager and now Co-Owner alongside Jennie.

Club Zest has always been a huge part of my life and I know it holds a special place in lots of peoples lives too. Our amazing team of trainers and staff make such a difference every day, by offering a personable service and really getting to know our members.

What I love most about being a part of Club Zest is interacting with amazing women everyday, particularly offering classes and bespoke services to make getting to the gym that little bit easier. As a Mam of two, I know just how hard it can be to juggle all aspects of life, whilst trying to stay fit and healthy too.

Our club provides a haven for all who step through the door and to know my ‘happy place’ is theirs too, means the world to me.

I’ve worked at Club Zest since 2013 as an instructor and personal trainer and in 2016, Holly and I took over the business as joint partners. It was the best decision I’ve ever made

I’m very passionate about our gym and members – it’s hard not to be when working in a place like this! Our dedicated and loyal members motivate me every day and I love the fact that I can be training a twelve-year-old girl who’s just starting her fitness journey, then next be training a 65-yearold in a stretch and tone class.

The range of classes I get to teach means I get to mix with so many different ages and abilities and it has helped me grow so much – both professionally and personally – over the last few years. I’ve been able to work with many women battling injuries, disease and mental health problems but also brides, new mothers, Mams-to-be and everyone in between.

I have a love for healthy living, whether it be nutrition, well-being or just having fun whilst working out.. I want everyone to feel the excitement and energy that I do, when they walk in our gym, and be the best they can possibly be.

With over 21 years under my belt here at Club Zest and as manager of the club, it’s fair to say I absolutely love what I do.

Being able to help people achieve their goals, provide motivation, guidance and support means everything to me.

Mostly you’ll find me in the gym doing 1-1 and group personal training for our Body Shred members, as well as inductions and reviews. I also teach an array of classes including Zumba, Retro Aerobics and Clubbercise to name but a few. Club Zest is such a big part of my life, and I wouldn’t want to work anywhere else.

We’re so lucky to have such an amazing team, and extremely loyal members who make our job worthwhile, and Club Zest the best place to be.

From the very first moment I walked in to Club Zest as a ‘fit kid’ many moons ago, I knew this was going to be a place I’d spend a lot of time. Fast forward all these years later and never did I think I’d be working here as a member of the team! I always found that during the hard times in life, Zest was my sanctuary.

My safe haven where I could just go to escape it all. Whether that was through GCSE’s, university, and most recently – when I was suffering with anxiety and depression. Zest was the only place I managed to drag myself out of bed to come to. Exercise was and still is my escape. When the light began to show at the end of the tunnel, I decided I wanted to help others overcome their own personal challenges, and support them in reaching their physical and mental goals through health and fitness.

And that’s when my business, PEAK Mindful Body Training, was born. I mainly train 1-1 clients as well as kick starting the week early mornings with Arise and Gym Bootcamp. It’s the most rewarding thing in the world to know you’re helping people during their time of need – be that physically, mentally or both, and Zest is the perfect place for me to do that.

I first walked through the doors of Club Zest as a different person to the one I am today. I was leading an extremely unhealthy lifestyle and realised I needed to do something about it. The tipping point for me was when I stepped on the scales and was the heaviest I’d ever been. I joined, and the rest is history.

After losing over six stone, and becoming fitter, stronger and more confident, I decided I wanted to give something back. Fitness had become a huge part of my life and I wanted to help others the way I was helped.

I’m now doing a job that I love and would never have dreamed I’d be doing this when I first came to Club Zest, let alone working here. I love meeting women who are looking for some help and that extra push – and knowing I am the one tasked with helping feels fantastic. I enjoy teaching classes like Clubbercise, Spinning and Pilates, as well as 1-1 sessions.

As my passion for fitness developed, so did my interest in other areas including sports massage, which I also offer from Hidden Retreat, which is based in the gym too.

I’ve always been a lover of fitness so I decided to take the next step – qualifying as a fitness instructor and personal trainer – allowing me to pass on my knowledge and motivation to others, and help them achieve their goals.

I train a mix of 1-1 clients as well as teaching classes including Spinning and Kettlebells. I firmly believe that every single one of our members come to our gym for so many different reasons and whatever those reasons may be, I love being there to help them reach reach their goals
